The election's home stretch | Fox10tv.com

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - With two days left until the Nov. 6 general election, Mobile Democrats and Republicans were wrapping up the last few days of campaigning on Sunday.

Some Mobile Democrats spent the afternoon at their headquarters making calls to voters while the Republicans prepped for a final round of campaigning Monday afternoon.

?We have got our list narrowed down to the point we know exactly who our voters are we know where they live,? said data coordinator for Mobile?s democratic party, Susan Hales.

Chair of the Mobile County Republican Party Terry Lathan said they have been preparing for Tuesday?s election as well but they aren?t just focusing on the national race.

?Its just the process, people should just be involved in the process. Even if we have a pretty good idea Alabama?s going to be a red state, and that should make a difference. People have been given an opportunity and should really go out and express themselves,? said Lathan.

In addition to a tight race between Gov. Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama for the White House, several amendments will appear on the local ballot for voters to decide on.

Much more election coverage is available on our onPolitix page.

Both democrats and republicans in Mobile said they?ll continue campaigning over the next two days right up to poll closing on Tuesday night.
